A release is ready when a reporter can understand the news in one pass, verify every material claim and find a useful human voice without decoding internal product language.
The operating principle
Confirm the announcement object first: availability, funding, partnership, customer result, research finding, executive appointment or event. The headline and first paragraph must describe the same event, with a date, market context and consequence.
Check every number against a named source and date. Separate measured results from projections. Confirm trademark styling, customer approvals, executive titles, links, geographic availability, pricing and forward-looking statements. Remove adjectives that are not backed by a comparison methodology.
Put it under pressure
Quotes should add judgment, not repeat the headline. A strong executive quote explains why the news matters now, names the tradeoff the market has been accepting and gives readers a sentence they could not get from a specification sheet.
Run the release through three final gates: a factual owner confirms claims, a communications owner confirms story and tone, and an authorized approver confirms publication. Keep a versioned evidence file beside the final copy so later questions can be answered quickly.
Bring the brief, launch or reputation question. AustinPRAR will find the signal and pressure-test the story.
